Call 206 633-0812 for tickets and information

Each winter Dance Fremont! presents a story ballet of Hans Christian Andersen's tale of The Steadfast Tin Soldier. The Brave Tin Soldier was written in 1838 and has been translated several times with the latest title, The Steadfast Tin Soldier, remaining.

With an original musical score, original choreography, beautifully designed costumes, and artistic scenery and props by local artists, this performance is captivating for people of all ages. Kathleen Mills, a member of the Dance Fremont! faculty, is the composer, lyricist, and librettist for this ballet story. Vivian Little, Co-Director of Dance Fremont! is the choreographer.

Participants must be second year students of Dance Fremont! and 7 years of age. Students older than 7 years must be enrolled in a ballet class. Mandatory Saturday afternoon rehearsals are from late September until the performance date. A rehearsal schedule is provided in September. This is a wonderful performing and learning opportunity for the students.

"The Steadfast Tin Soldier is a great opportunity for young dance students to see older dancers focus and put their energy into something positive that they love. I can't think of a better role model for my daughter.”x A Dance Fremont! parent

Performance fees: Due to upkeep, maintenance and the cost of new costumes for the three major dance events of the school year, a performance fee will be requested from each performer per event.
